2. Mitosis Stage 2

   Nota:

   • occurs after interphase  divides a cell
   1. Prophase

      Nota:

      • 1st phase of mitosis  chromatin condenses to form visible chromosomes 
      1. Metaphase

         Nota:

         • chromosomes move to the middle of the cell
         1. Anaphase

            Nota:

            • centromeres break and sister chromatids pull apart 
            1. Telophase

               Nota:

               • begins when chromosomes reach opposite poles of cell
3. Cytokinesis Stage 3

   Nota:

   • Division of cells
