ALFRED HITCHCOCK
- Born on 13th August 1899 in
Leystonstone and is noted to be one of
the greatest horror and thriller film directors of all
time
- He had many notable jobs in his
youth and adolescent years such as
an estimator for a local newspaper
and working for a cable company. he
even signed up to fight for Britain in
WW1 but was often discriminated
against because of his obesity.
- Due to his exceptional success in the horror
genre he has been dubbed "The Master Of
Suspense"
- He was knighted in 1979 as a
result of his services to the
British film industry.
