Resumen del Recurso

Changes during exercise
  1. Aerobic respiration occurs during light exercise such as jogging
    1. Anaerobic respiration occurs if insufficient oxygen is reaching the muscles ( e.g when you get a stitch)
      1. Anaerobic respiration releases less energy than aerobic respiration. When you have oxygen debt the build up of lactic acid occurs and makes your muscles ache. This lactic acid MUST be made into glucose
      2. Respiration is the process of releasing energy from glucose . Not from breathing in and out!
        1. Your heart and lungs provide glucose and oxygen for your muscles
          1. Aerobic respiration needs oxygen. Anaerobic respiration doesn't need oxygen
