Description & Why is it an NHPA?
Define: adverse effects on the human body that may results from a range of different events.
Can be accidental or intentional
A - drowning
I - suicide
aims to prevent injuries and reduce the impact on both individuals and communities.
factors affecting are sex, age, alcohol/substance abuse, ethnicity and residence.
It is an NHPA b/c injury is the main cause of death for people under the age of 45. All cases are preventable
