King of Prussia (1740-1786). Was introduced by voltaire how to be an enlightened ruller. That made Prussia, the best governed country in Europe. |
Peter the Great | Russia (1682-1725). Not exactly an enlighened leader, but he worked into joining Russia into Europe |
Catherine the Great | Russia (1762-1796). Left Peter III and rulled alone, was inspired by the works of Montesquieu & voltaire and started to do work inspired by them. |
Maria Theresa | Austria (1740-1780). When she inherited the throne she noticed that austria needed to improve mostly everything. |
Joseph II | Austria (1780-1790). furthered the job of his mother enfocating in lowering the power of the religion while his mother went more general. |
