What were some causes for the NOTLK? The Nazi party's need to win support from the army, & the fact that they were seen as a threat.
Why did some leading nazis see the SA as a threat? They felt that their activities might cause backlash against Hitler
How did Rohm create tension? Rohm, SA leader, wanted to incorporate the army into the SA & was disappointed with Hitler's relationship with industrialists & army leaders. In addition to this he also had more socialist views
What were some characteristics of the NOTLK? Rohm & the main leaders of the SA were shot by the SS. In addition to this, old oppositions were killed. In total about 400 people died
Why was the NOTLK significant? Hitler eradicated would-be opponents & secured the support of the army. It also created a reign of terror which helped secure rule.
