| Explain what is meant by the term "ISOTOPES". | ISOTOPES are different forms of the same ELEMENT, which have the same number of PROTONS but different numbers of NEUTRONS. |

| Why do ATOMS have no charge? | ATOMS have the same number of PROTONS as ELECTRONS. Because the charges on PROTONS (+1) and ELECTRONS (-1) are opposite and equally sized, they cancel each other out. |
