How do religious organisations promote world peace? | Quakers and Muslim Peace Fellowship- organise public debates about the horrors of war; organise anti-war protests; attend inter-faith conferences; work for economic fairness |
Why do wars occur? | Religion- religious differences such as the Crusades when Christians tried to force people to convert. Nationalism- thinking that all minorities should be removed from your country e.g. Hitler and his treatment of the Jews. Economics- invading a country for its resources e.g.the first Gulf War. Moral reasons- one country feels obliged to attack another to restore the inhabitant's human rights e.g war with Syria. Political differences- e.g North Korea invading South Korea to unite them both under communism. |

What are the Christian teachings forgiveness and reconciliation? | Jesus died to bring about forgiveness of man's sins and to reconcile humans with God. God forgives those who asks, so should we. St Paul said Christians should try to live in peace with one another, these concepts will help that happen All Churches teach Christians that they should follow these ideas. |
What are the Muslim teachings on forgiveness and reconciliation? | God is a compassionate to sinners, so should they be. Qur'an tells Muslims to forgive . they should obey they Qur'an because it is the word of God. Hadith (Saying of Muhammad) show him forgiving people and reconciling after battles.
