| Recessive Allele | The characteristic that can only appear if there is no presence of a dominant allele |
| Kwashiorkor | Form of malnutrition caused by lack of protein. Most common symptom is a swollen stomach |
| Parasite | Organism which lives off another at the other's expense |
| Vectors | Carry disease without being infected by it themselves |
