Monday Moon "Moon" is almost the same as the first part of "Monday"
Tuesday Mars Tuesday is "Tiw's Day," the Norse god of single combat. Mars is the Roman god of war.
Wednesday Mercury In French, Wednesday is "Mercredi," which comes from "Day of Mercury." "Wednesday" comes from Wodnesdaeg, which means Odin's Day.
Thursday Jupiter Thursday is named for Thor (Thor's Day), the Norse god of lightning. Jupiter is the Roman god of lightning.
Friday Venus Friday is named for Frigg, the Norse goddess of marriage. Venus is the Roman goddess of love.
Saturday Saturn Saturday is Saturn's Day! Easy peasy!
