What do you mean by natural environment? | The environment that consists of all objects created by nature is called natural environment. The natural environment comprises of land, water, air, plants and animals. |

What is lithosphere? | Lithosphere (or the domain of land) is the solid crust or the hard top layer of the earth. It is made up of rocks and minerals and is covered by a thin layer of soil. It is an irregular surface with various landforms such as mountains, plateaus, plains and valleys. |
What is an ecosystem? | Ecosystem is the system formed by the interaction of all living organisms with each other and with the physical and chemical factors of the environment in which they live, all linked by transfer of energy and material. |

How have human beings adapted to the environment to fulfill their needs? | Early humans lead a simple life and fulfilled their requirements from the nature around them. As their needs increased, they modified the environment. They learnt to grow crops, tamed animals, invented the wheel and began a settled life. Industrial revolution made possible large scale production. Trade and commerce started. Transport and communication became easier and faster. |
