What is NOT probable cause? Seeing a truck on a highway is NOT probable cause. Seeing a vehicle NEAR an illegal area is NOT probable cause. Being told someone is doing something illegal by a civilian is NOT probable cause. Seeing a civilian across the street from the drug dealer is NOT probable cause.
List the different types of "witnessing" and whether or not it provides probable cause. Direct Witness - Yes Eye Witness - No Relayed Witness - Yes
Define what being a "Direct Witness" means. Being a "Direct Witness" means you personally witnessed a crime being committed. You are given probable cause and you are allowed to restrain the individual(s) and charge them accordingly, whether it be with a verbal warning, ticket, or jail time.
Define what an "Eye Witness" is. An eye witness is an individual that reports a crime to you, an officer. Though helpful, it's very difficult to provide validity in the claim and as such these reports do NOT provide probable cause.
Define what a "Relayed Witness" is. A "Relayed Witness" is an officer that reports his first-hand information on a crime/suspect to you over the radio. This is treated the same as Direct Witness and provides probable cause.
An area must be deemed "_________" before any thing can be searched or impounded. List the associated time limit. An area must be deemed "All Clear" before any thing can be searched or impounded. The required time to wait is a full minute after the very last shot fired.
Provide the two situations in which allow you to search an individual or their vehicle. Having probable cause or having the civilian's consent.
If you don't have probable cause, what is the only other way you can search an individual or their vehicle? The only way around probable cause in this situation is to obtain the civilian's consent to search his person and/or vehicle.
Detail the process of impounding a supposedly abandoned vehicle. Send a text to the owner and inform them that the APD will be impounding their abandoned vehicle and that in the absence of their return you will be searching their vehicle and impounding/seizing it. If they wish to claim it then they may request the location of the vehicle. If they cannot return in a reasonable time frame the vehicle may be searched/impounded as normal. If the citizen is no longer on the island you may impound it but NOT search it.
When should you seize an individual's weapons? When you see an individual with an illegal weapon. If you catch a person that has crimes committed that require their possessions be seized or that require a gun to commit.
When should you seize an individual's vehicles? If you find any vehicle classified as illegal. (Ifrit, .50 cal)
When should you seize drugs or endangered animals from an individual? If you find any substance classified as an illegal narcotic. If you find animal products from endangered species.
When should you seize an individual's licenses? Firearms License When a person has a crime charge that involves a firearm they should have their license seized even if caught with no weapon present. - Driver's License When a person has excessive amounts of vehicular manslaughter charges or if the individual leads officers on an excessively long chase.
List the three modifiers to starting ticket price during processing and their associated percentages. Manslaughter of APD personnel: Starts at 100% Evasion Attempt: Starts at 100% Non-aggressive and non-evasive: Starts at %50
Refusal of a ticket at any stage will result in the standard __________ without ______________. Refusal of a ticket at any stage will result in the standard send to jail without a reduction in ticket price.
A violent rescue attempt at any time will also forfeit the chances of _______________. A violent rescue attempt at any time will also forfeit the chances of talking themselves out of a ticket.
If a ticket is issued and paid by an individual but afterwards you realize you didn't charge him with the full ticket price by mistake, what do you do? Once a ticket has been paid, the civilian MUST be pardoned and may only be issued with another ticket only after after they have committed an entirely new crime.
What is the maximum number of chances an individual can be given to pay their ticket? They are only allowed a maximum of three chances.
Constables and higher are allowed to decrease ticket prices based on what from a civilian? Reasonable explanations of their crimes and general roleplay.
When is the use of restraints (hand-cuffs) justified? When a civilian is a threat to themselves or others. A suspect(s) is on the wanted list and needs to be ticketed/searched. You witness a suspect commit a crime. Civilian(s) are interfering with police investigations(Give verbal warning first).
When is the use of less-than-lethal force (rubber bullets) justified? An individual is evading police on foot. An individual is evading police in a vehicle and ignoring verbal commands. An individual is open carrying an illegal firearm.
When is the use of deadly force justified? When ordered by the highest ranking officer involved or on scene (if Sgt+). Corporal and below must request permission from the highest ranking officer on server. To kill the gunner of a .50 cal/helicopter or when a subject is otherwise unreachable. May be used to execute apprehended criminals with less than one minute until restart and you're not near an HQ.
Give a short summary of the basic process to deal with crowd control during interference with police work. 1. Verbally notify the individuals in question. 2. Give adequate response time. 3. (Soft logging is allowed to avoid loss of gear) To return to your assigned city after assisting in stopping a bank robbery. To return to your assigned city after assisting in a backup call. Fewer than six officers online.
If you just began processing an individual and the Federal Reserves alarms begin sounding off, what do you do? Finish processing the individual as per normal (do not excessively rush the individual unless you have a very good reason) and then respond to the emergencies accordingly. Though Banks, Feds, and Prison Breaks are all very important, civilians are top priority.
You see a truck going north on the highway to Sofia and you feel very confident that he's transporting narcotics due to the close proximity of the heroin fields. What do you do? You may pull him over for questioning or roleplay if you'd like, however you do NOT have probable cause to search the individual or their vehicle unless the civilian expresses consent.
Immediately after the Prison Break you pull over an individual with a charge of escaping from prison. After questioning you feel he has not adequately explained the charge. What do you do? An individual charged with assisting in a prison break or escaping prison is to be sent immediately to prison.
Are there any situations in which you are allowed to use your active vehicle to disable another vehicle in a chase? Pit maneuvers, rolling barricades, etc? No. Officers are NOT allowed to use their vehicles in such a manner. Spike strips and communication are far more reliable and less trouble for all parties involved.

Are there any exceptions? 20 minutes is the minimum time limit unless you observe one of the following: 911 dispatches Nearby traffic Police chases civilian reports Do not remain in these areas for more than 2 minutes unless an incident occurs in which the officer must remain for longer.
