Question Answer
Full stop. This signifies the end of a sentence
Exclamation mark! You might use this to show that someone is very excited
CAPITAL LETTERS These are used at the start of a sentence and for names of people and places
Hyphen - This separates parts of a word
Semi-colon ; This joins two related sentences or clauses
(Brackets) These can add clarity to a sentence
Apostrophe' This is used when letters are missed out because of joining two words together
Question mark? This is used when you ask someone something
Colon: This indicates that what follows is an explanation or a list
Comma, This is one of the most frequently used types of punctuation and it separates parts of a sentence
