Rural to Urban Migration Moving from the countryside into cities
Rural Depopulation A decrease in the proportion of people who live in the countryside
Urbanisation An increase in the proportion of people who live in towns and cities
Re-Urbanisation When people who have moved out of urban areas, into smaller towns and villages, move back into urban areas
Gentrification Old housing in run-down areas near the CBD is taken over and modernised. Increased house prices, new facilities and area becomes more affluent.

Pull Factors Good things about an area that attract people to it Higher wages Jobs Family Higher standard of living
