| How did the assassination of Archduke impact the society? | After the assassination, the Austrian government demanded a greater role in Serbian affairs. Germany backed its neighbour Austria in its stance against Serbia, and Russia backed Serbia. The alliances between the various countries invoked and the world moved to world war within six weeks. |
