Scrooge doesn't trust Bob and keeps a close eye on him
The office is cold because Scrooge won't pay for coal
Fred visits Scrooge to wish him a Merry Christamas but Scrooge calls him a fool for being happy when he's poor.
Two charity workers ask scrooge for money to help the poor but Scrooge is rude and says the poor should go to the Workhouse or die.
The weather gets worse and we are told the the church bell can just be seen through the fog, looking down on Scrooge.
Away from the office lots of people are having fun and getting ready for Christmas
Reluctantly, Scrooge gives Bob Christmas day off.
Bob goes home happy and playful and slides on the snow. However Scrooge follows his usual routine and walks in the dark to his "gloomy" home.
At home, Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Jacob Marley.
