2. She was so intelligent that she skipped kindergarden, 1st grade and 5th grade.
3. She went to west virginia high school and graduated at the age of 14.

4. Katherin was the only child that attended a special course for advance math wiht analytic geometry.
5. She got a B.S degree for math and french.

  2. 1953, she was research mathematician at the Langley research Centre .

  1. She was honored from NASA and given the group achievement Award.
  2. Katherine also was honored by the Doctor of laws from SUNY farmingdale in 1998.
  3. On May 2006, she was honored with an award for doctor of science.
