  1. Key sig - major or minor?
    1. If minor - remember to add in the raised 7th everywhere! The raised 7th always leads to the tonic
    2. UP BEAT
      1. if there is an upbeat - how do you start the 2nd phrase? How many beats in the last bar?
      2. I - V - I
        1. The last note must be preceded by the leading note (VII), or the super-tonic (II)
        2. Dynamics
          1. Not too many! Think about the flow of the music.
          2. Tempo markings
            1. Italian term at the beginning. Rit / pause / accel
            2. Articulation
              1. staccato, slurs, phrase marks, tenuto, accents
              2. Double check
                1. The right no of beats in each bar
                  1. The correct groupings, if 6/8 is everything grouped in 3 quavers?
