Latin had some influence in English during the 1st to 5th century, however most of its influence
came much later. A lot of the influence came from northern Germanic Tribes (Anglo Saxons) who
migrated over in the 5th Century
Middle English
The Normans, after their conquest in 1066, brought with them a French influence. this lead to the more wealthy
individuals speaking French while the 'peasants'/middle and lower class people spoke English still.
