  1. Advantages
    1. Cheaper than off the job training, and can also be free.
      1. Employees who are new too a job may be come productive more quickly- INDUCTION.
        1. There may be distractions in the workplace, which might lessen the effectiveness of the training.
          1. The training may not be certified and it may it may not be deemed as a qualification- there is no evidence on paper.
            1. Employees my pick up bad habits from the person who is training them as they are not an official trainer.
              1. The trainer may find it difficult to deliver effective training to colleagues.
                1. If employees are only trained in one area this means that they will require further training at a later date if they move into a different area
                  1. Training is relevant and practical, dealing with the day to day requirements of the job.
                    1. Employees are not taken away from their workplace so they can still be productive.
                      1. Employees continue to earn money while they learn new skills.
