Forms when mama moves up to the surface of the earth through a vent
Vent is a small opening in the earths surface from which magma explodes onto the surface
magma is stored underground in a magma reservoir
magma erupts out of the vent through the crater
when magma reaches the earths surface it is lava, it cools down and hardens around the vent
ash and other marerials are also ejected from the volcano
After repeated eruptions ash and lava build up around the vent to form a cone shaped mountain
Positive effects
Volcanos can attract tourists
Fertile soil
Geothermal energy
Precious stones and minerals form
Negative effects
People get killed
Form mudflows
