Multiplying and Dividing by Decimals
  1. Multiplying
    1. When multiplying a number by 10 you move all the digits in the number 1 place to the left and fill in the gaps with 0s.
      1. When multiplying a number by 100 you move all the digits 2 places to the left and fill in the gaps with 0s.
        1. 52 x 100 = 5,200
        2. 52 x 10 = 520
        3. Multiplying a number by 0.1 is the same as dividing that number by 10.
          1. Multiplying a number by 0.01 is the same as dividing that number by 100.
            1. 52 x 0.01 = 52/100 = 0.52
            2. 52 x 0.1 = 52/10 = 5.2
          2. Dividing
            1. When dividing a number by 10 you move all the digits 1 place to the right and fill in the gaps with 0s.
