Hooke's Law
  1. Says the extension of a spring is directly proportional to its extention. This si represented in this equation
    1. F = k x e
      1. F = force extending the spring in newtons
        1. k = spring constant of the spring in N per metre N/m
          1. e = extension of the spring in M
        2. Bungee rope has a spring constant of 250 N/m. So how much force is needed to increase the lengtrh of a bungee rope from 25m to 30?
          1. F = k x e = 250 x (30-25) 5 = 1250N
