1. un - unhappy, unfriendly, unusual, unemployed, untidy, unkind, unpleasant.

   • un - is the most common;

2. in: is often used before words with Latin origin;

   • e.g: invisible, inadequate; informal;

3. il - can be used before 'l'. E.g.illegible

   • illegible

4. ir - is only used before a few words beginning with 'r'

   • irresponsible

5. dis- used before some adjectives;

   • e.g. dishonest, dislike, disagree

6. im - is used before some words beginning with 'm'or 'p'.

   • e.g. impolite, impossible, impatient. immoral.
