It is a very long tube up to 6
metres long and here the digested
food is absorbed into the body

Biting and chewing is a form
of mechanical digestion, but
chemical digestion also takes
place in the mouth as the food
is mixed with saliva.
Large intestine
Is the part of the digestive
system in which the food you
eat are processed into
faeces.It is wide and that is
where it got its name from.
