                        1. Infections- Contagious/ refer to GP
                          1. Infestations- Can carry on to someone else- refer to pharmacist
                            1. Manufacturers Instructions- Issued by manufacturers' or suppliers' safe and efficient use of products or equipment
                              1. Tests- All relevant test should be carried out to ensure client can proceed with service to prevent damage to the hair
                                1. Skin test- Base 3 &6%- testing to see if client is allergic to PARADYES
                                  1. Incompatability test- 6% &perm lotion- To see if metallic salts are present
                                    1. Porosity- Using finger and thumb, slide upwards towards root- to test the condition of the cuticle
                                      1. Elasticity-Spray hair wet, stretch, and hair should return to natural length- testing the condition of the cortex
                                        1. Strand test- Scrap some of the colour off the hair to check the development of the colour
                                        2. Questioning
                                          1. Open questions- open for discussion
                                            1. Closed questions- Yes or No answers
                                            2. Contra-indications- Something that could potentially stop you from carrying out a service
