Osmosis
  1. The net movement of water across a partially permeable membrane from a region of high water concentration to a region of low water concentration.
    1. Partially permeable membrane: A membrane with VERY small holes in it. so small only tiny molecules can pass through them
    2. Water molecules actually pass both ways through the membrane during osmosis. this is because the molecules move randomaly all the time.
