  1. Iron catalysts makes the reaction go faster which gets it to the equilibrium proportions more quickly.
    1. Without the catalyst, the temperature would have to be raised even further to get a quick enough reaction.
      1. That would reduce the % yield even further, cause it to be more expensive.
