Positive before and after an event than during it

You look forward to something for a long time whether it's saving up for a new phone or planning a trip. Once you have a new phone or are on the trip you may find that the anticipation was better before the new phone or before the trip. A few days after the trip or a few months after owning the phone you will find positive thoughts again.

Asking for satisfaction ratings while a person is interacting with a product or website, will differentiate from ratings after a few days has passed. Asking people a few days later will lead to more positive ratings.
