In your exam the higher mark questions  will be at least 7-12 marks. This includes questions asking you to create a mind-map, or questions to create a storyboard, moodboard etc. If you were to have a question worth 10 marks on a mood board, 8 marks on a storyboard, then the 12 mark ques.

… 12 marks + 10 marks + 8 marks then adds up to 30, which is indeed half the marks on the paper. Therefore getting these questions right would be a bonus and gain you 30 marks on just labelling and drawings. And to add on that, its also really not that hard.

One of the questions could be to design a Visualisation Diagram. A visualisation diagram is a visual representation of what the final product would look like. To get 10 marks on this question in your exam, all you need to do is design a VD which includes a fitness for purpose, justifications....

..annotations, images, persuasive language, a good layout, texts, and fonts, and colours, if you do not mention any sign of colours or fonts or texts, you cannot get a mark higher than 7 which is why its crucial to use them . A good example of a visualisation diagram would be..

Another one of the higher mark questions could be a storyboard. A storyboard is a layout of images to describe s script or advert scene by scene. Things you will need to include are, SCENE NUMBERS, SCENE LENGTHS, CAMERA SHOT TYPES, CAMERA MOVEMENTS...

To get above 7 marks in one of these questions you will need to include 3 of these things. You could use, scene numbers, scene lengths, and a camera shot, but you must use them over consistency and throughout the whole storyboard. You could also include dialogue and sound effects....

If you include the 6 images labelled with annotations, sound effects, camera shots and movements, scene numbers, and scene lengths you are bound to get highest of marks which could be from 7 marks to 12.

Of course to achieve all the marks it has to be to the best of standards, although the drawing and artistic skills are not taken into account so you don't need to draw amazing to get high marks, you just need to include justifications and annotations and scene numbers, scene lengths, colours, text, camera types ect. And overall the storyboard should be fit for purpose and look like a story board.

Also, another higher mark question which could be included is to design a mood board. This question could also vary between 7- 10 marks in the exam. The question would show you a variety of images numbered from 1- 15 or however many images there are. It will ask you to create a mood board fit for the purposed to use the images which are suitable.

This question is simple as you don't have to draw, you just have to draw 6 boxes and put in the number of the image of what you want to use to make sure its simple. The mood board must obviously contain the images you labelled, and annotations for each of them. The annotation could be simple, it is just labelling on why you chose that image.

To make sure you get full marks, you need to use fonts and text, images, justifications on why you chose that font or image, you could also use catchphrases if your creating a mood board for an advert or something that could use persuasive language.

You could also be asked to create a mind-map. A mind map is a series for ideas put together and labelled in branches and surrounded by different themes. It can be used from a app developer so they know what to include in an app. They can also vary from 9-12 marks.

A mind map doesn't include actual visuals representation of anything as it is just ideas, however you can describe what images look like. A mind map must include a main theme, such as the main topic in the middle that all the branches would be coming off. The mind map must include, nodes, sub-nodes, branches, ideas, annotations, relevant content, colour schemes, house styles, text, font .

It is easy to get marks in as you just have to label on why you think the ideas are good and why you think they are relevant.
