Hagia Sophia
Hagia Sophia means "Holy Wisdom." It contains two floors with a huge dome covering the top. It served as a cathedral and a mosque, in Constantinople. The construction at the time was very simple, but over time the Hagia Sophia started having beautiful mosaics inside. It had only served as a Christian cathedral until the Ottoman Empire later invaded, it then became a mosque. In 1934, in the city of Istanbul, the once building that served as a cathedral and mosque to the people, is now a museum where you can see the beautiful art and architecture inside.
