What is binary? Binary is a number system that uses just 2 symbols (0 and 1) Computers do not understand anything other than machine code. This therefore means that instructions need to be converted and stored in binary.

What is an OR gate? OR gates take two bits as inputs. If both inputs are 0 then the output is 0. Otherwise the output is 1

What is the alternative name for Denary? base 10
What is hexadecimal value? It is a positional numeral system with a base number of 16
What does ASCII stand for? American standard code for information interchange
