What does the term 'Exposure' mean? Exposure is simply the amount of light that the camera'a sensor is exposed to.
List the three exposure settings. 1. Aperture 2. Shutter Speed 3. ISO Each setting regulates the incoming light, and has an individual bearing which determines much light is collected.
What does the Aperture setting do? Controls the amount of light that passes through the lens to the shutter.
What does the shutter speed control? It controls the amount of light that is captured by the sensor.
What is the ISO? It refers to the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to the light.
What is Depth of Field (DOP)? Determines how much of the subject is rendered sharp or in focus.
What does a shallow depth of field do? It isolates the subject from its surroundings and draws attention to the main subject.
What type of photography will benefit from a wide depth of field? Landscape. Any scene with a foreground and background in focus.
