Questão Responda
Define Respiration Respiration is a process in which energy is release due to the break down of glucose and constantly occurs in all of our cells
What are three uses of the energy transferred in Respiration? -Movement (in animals) -Building larger molecules (eg. proteins from amino acids) -Maintain body temperatures
Define Aerobic Respiration Is Respiration that uses oxygen
Define Anaerobic Respiration Is Respiration that occurs without any oxygen (usually is carried out during vigorous exercise)
Equation of Aerobic Respiration Glucose + Oxygen ---> Carbon Dioxide + Water + (Energy)
Equation of Anaerobic Respiration in Animals Glucose ---> Lactic acid + (Energy)
Equation of Anaerobic Respiration in Plants and Yeast Glucose ---> Carbon Dioxide + Ethanol + (Energy)
Which Respiration gives out the most amount of energy? Aerobic
Why does heart and breathing rate remain high after exercise? Lactic acid is oxidises, repaying the oxygen debt. Lactic acid + Oxygen ---> Carbon Dioxide + Water
