  1. "I think of thee"
    1. Addresses lover directly making it more personal
    2. "as wild vines, about a tree" (metaphor)
      1. Narrator is the 'wild vines' and her lover is the 'tree'
      2. "straggling"
        1. Her thoughts about her lover are inferior to the man himself
        2. "Rather" (turning point/volta)
          1. It is one line early which suggests her desperation for her lover
          2. "burst, shattered, everywhere!" (rule of three)
            1. His presence replaces her thoughts which emphasises her excitement
            2. "I do not think of thee" (reversal)
              1. Highlights the difference between thinking about him and being with him
              2. "I an too near"
                1. He's better than anything she's capable of imagining
                2. "thee"
                  1. Shows her obsession for him
