Vigotsky´s theory
  1. the majour theme of Vogotsky´s theorical framework is that social interaction plays a fundamental role in the development of cognitive.
    1. every fuction in the child´s cultural development appers twice.
      1. social level
        1. individual level
        2. the potential for cognitive development depends upon the "zone of proximal development" ( ZPD)
          1. a level of development attained when children engage in social behaivour , the ZPD depends upon full social interaction .
          2. Vigotsky theory was an attempt to explain consiousness as the end product of socialization.
            1. for example : lin the learning of language, our firs utterances with peers or adults "inner speech"
            2. Vigotsky´s theory is coplementary to Bandura´s work on social learning and a key componets of situated learning theory as well
              1. Vigotsky´s focus was on cognitive development.
                1. is interesting to comparate his views those a constructivist (Bruner) and a genetic epistemologist (Piaget)
              2. most of the original wok was done in the contex of context of language learning in children (Vigotsky, 1985)
                1. Vigitsky give the example: initially, this behaivour beings as a meaningless grasping motion.
                  1. as people react to the gesture, its become a movement that has meaning.
