                      3. Bacteria
                        1. cell wall
                          1. cytoplasm
                            1. large chromosomal ring of DNA
                              1. Plasmid ring of DNA
                                1. NOT in a distinct nucleus, more of a jumbled cluster.
                                2. Flagella
                                  1. NO NUCLEUS
                                  2. Yeast is a single-celled organism
                                    1. Specialised Cells
                                      1. Animals
                                        1. Red Blood Cells
                                          1. carry oxygen via their haemoglobin molecules
                                          2. White Blood Cells
                                            1. help out in the immune system
                                            2. Gamete Cells

                                            3. Plants
                                              1. Palisade Leaf structures are adapted to suit the photosynthesis site.
                                                1. Guard cells open and close the stomata- this allows oxygen and carbon dioxide to pass in or out.
                                              2. Diffusion- when dissolved substance can come into or out of the cell from the cell membrane.
                                                1. It is the spreading of gas or substance in solution, which results in the movement from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration
                                                  1. it is a spontaneous movement
                                                    1. the greater the difference in concentration, the faster the rate of diffusion.
                                                      1. only relatively small molecules can diffuse through the cell membrane
                                                        1. e.g. amino acids, not proteins
                                                          1. or sugars like glucose and not carbohydrates like starch.
                                                          2. oxygen required for respiration diffuses through the membrane.
