          1. wettest january since records began / high tides and storm surges swept water up the rivers/ rivers had not been dredged for 20 years (full of sedement)

                    1. entire villages cut off
                      1. power supplys affected

                        1. £10 million worth of damage
                          1. 1,000 livestock evacuated

                                1. debris and stagnant water had to be reoxygenated
