Is there potential of occuring moisture disorders due to architectural tipologies and constructive methods main used in the country for residential buildings?
  1. Justification- only found in bibliography studies that assess the moisture disorders due to bad quality of materials of issues during the construction process
    1. Hypothesis: mould growth can occur due to the construction method and achitecture tipologies used, despite of bad habits in construction process
      1. Contributions: inform what is the risk level for the typical Brazilian construction for residential buildings to develop mould growth
        1. the studies found about higrothermal performance (for Brazil) are focused mostly on thermal comfort, not having particular analysis of moisture disorders. Condensation may occur regardless of poorly construction, once every dwelling will always produce vapour. In cold climates this vapour may condensate on cold surfaces during winter. It can mean nothing severe but depending on the internal temperature and lack of ventilation this condesation may lead to mould growth affecting the indoor air quality and maybe deteriorating materials/clothes

                1. massive use of one system (masonry wall, cast-in-place concrete structure, ceramic roof)

                      1. Yes. Why? Through sensitivity analysis identify the factors that have more impact on this disorder
                        1. what can be done to reduce this risk?
                        2. No. If time avaiable, evaluate other aspects in a more accurate simulation
                        3. Data from Sinpha research of habits and consumption Simulate ground floor only, which represents about 90% of the dwellings of the country
                  2. standards: what do they recommend about moisture disorders
                    1. compare standards to the reality
                    2. what are the procedures according the existing standards
                    3. residential - ground-floor / multi storey
                      1. Data for the country: number of dwellings, number of occupants
                        1. Bioclimatic Zones
                          1. the analysis will be made only for Curitiba representing the ZB1 which is the coldest climate of the country, that have high levels of relative humidity and to bound the work
