Volleyball, Spain reaches approximately towards the year 1920,
as a recreational game, practiced in Catalan beaches,
European-Western influence. Despite the lack of playing
volleyball, School of Physical Education in Toledo published in
1925, the first regulation volleyball, traslation of which was used
at that time in Europe. The truth us that until after the national
period of the Civil War, as the official sport was organized and

school level, through the organization of the Youth Front and

provincial associations, and so on.
During this period (1948-50), there was little activity since the Handball Federation, had to
attend two modalities, handball and field hall. Really, it was difficult in these circumstances

ROYASL SPANICH VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION
The Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVD), is in charge of organizing volleyball and beach
volleyball in Spain, integrating the regional federations, sports clubs, athletes, referees and
coaches. The RFEVB is the sports club that holds the representation of Spain in the activities and
official competitions of international volleyball held inside and outside the Spanich territory as a
member of the international volleyball Federation (FIVB), which represents in Spain with character
exclusive. It is also the responsibility of the RFEVB, the direction of the national teams of volleyball
and beach volleyball at senior and junior level
