- The ageing population is caused by increasing life expecting and dropping birth rate

- 1)people are living longer because of medicine 2)Lots of babies were born after the war 3)Since 1970s. the number of babies born has fallen
- The Uk's population causes a few problems

- 1) More elderly people are living in poverty - the working population isn't large enough to pay for a decent pension 2) Even though the state pention is low the govenment is struggling.
- The UK government has strategies to cope with the ageing population
