There are a series of verbs without subjects that create the idea of a routine and make the reader feel compassionate towards the man because the only way he finds a place in this world, his world, is by having a routine. And we can figure out that the reason he has a routine is because he believes that if he changes it he would loose his place in society.
                              2. I
                                1. "like a word dropped from a long sentence"
                                  1. We can easily figure out that this is a metaphor. The sentence could either be the world or the family and the word represents the man. The word "dropped" emphasizes the fact the father has been rejecte
                                  2. "cling"
                                    1. It is also a reference to the father as to "cling" means desperately holding. The father is desperately "clinging" to the life that is left to him, to his actual place in society that he doesn't want to loose.
                                    2. His general aspect : bag, sloths, shoes, meal

All these descriptions portray the self-neglection of the man. Also, the meal and cloths are metaphors of the father: the tea is "weak", the man too, the chapati is "stale", he is old, his bag is "falling apart", he is becoming blind...

                                      1. The movement is quite irregular. The is because of the unequal length of the sentences.

                                        2. S
                                          1. There are many "s" in the poem. This refers to the time that passes (in my opinion). It also creates a feeling of discomfort in the reader.
