4.10 - Polarisation
  1. 11.5.1
    1. Polarised wave- A transverse wave which is only vibrating on a single plane
    2. As light is reflected by a surface, some of it is polarised but I don't know how.
      1. Brewster's law
        1. When the angle between the relfected ray and the refracted ray is 90 degrees, polarisation is 100%
        2. Polariser- The first thingy that makes the wave one-planed Analyser- the second thingy which makes the wave something else, depending on the angle between it and the polariser
          1. Optically active substance- solutions which can rotate the plane of polarisation, e.g. sugar solution
            1. Some plastics become optically active when put under stress (force), causing different colours to appear when different amount of force is applied to the plastic, as they rotate differently.
