Resumo de Recurso
Slim
Slim, though not the Boss or Curley has the most power on the ranch.
He is "Godlike" and "moved with majesty".
This suggests that he's attractive, and looks almost princely. Slims appearance would also suggest why Curley's wife is attracted to him.
Slim is a 'jerkline skinner.'
He is very intuitive.
He understands straight away George and Lennie's relationship, how they get along, what Lennie is like, and why George had to kill him.
"understanding beyond thought..."
He is respected and listened to, and what he says holds some weight with people.
He tells George it would be best to kill Lennie, and George thinks that coming from Slim, that this is the best thing to do.
"there was gravity in his manner... all talk stopped when he spoke."
He supports George after he has killed Lennie, when no one else is. He understands the weight of what he went through.
"Come on, George. Me an' you'll go in an' get a drink."
