Battle of Britain
1. Germany conquered most of Europe - all resources
2. Germany planned Operation Sealion, using France, had to defeat Royal Navy and RAF
3. RAF: 600 Spitfire/Hurricane, Germany: 1000 fighters/1500 bombers
4. Bombed RAF bases/stations
5. RAF pilots were inexperienced and were often exhausted
6. Britain won because of RADAR and aircraft. Germans changed tactics and bombed London
7. Hitler was more interested in invading Russia
Atomic bomb
1. 100,000 allied prisoners in terrible Japanese camps
