After many of the sperm die, the ones remaining travel into the oviduct where the first sperm will [blank_start]fertilise[blank_end] the egg. If fertilised, then the egg will travel down into the uterus and will then eventually grow into a baby. Nevertheless, if the egg is not fertilised then it will travel out of the vagina. Then the [blank_start]menstrual cycle[blank_end] will restart with the woman having her period.
