What is the Sacrament of Extreme Unction? Should we wait until we are in extreme danger before we receive Extreme Unction? [blank_start]We should not wait until[blank_end] [blank_start]we are in extreme danger[blank_end] [blank_start]before we receive Extreme[blank_end] [blank_start]Unction, but if possible we should[blank_end] [blank_start]receive it whilst we have[blank_end] [blank_start]the use of our senses[blank_end].

Which are the effects of the Sacrament of Extreme Unction? [blank_start]The effects of Extreme Unction are[blank_end]: [blank_start]first, to comfort us in the pains[blank_end] [blank_start]of sickness and[blank_end] [blank_start]to strengthen us against temptations[blank_end]; [blank_start]second, to remit venial sins and to[blank_end] [blank_start]cleanse our soul from the[blank_end] [blank_start]remains of sin[blank_end]; [blank_start]third, to restore us to health[blank_end] [blank_start]when God sees fit[blank_end].

What do you mean by the remains of sin? [blank_start]By the remains of sin I mean[blank_end] [blank_start]the inclination to evil and[blank_end] [blank_start]the weakness of the will[blank_end], [blank_start]which are the result of our sins[blank_end] [blank_start]and which remain after[blank_end] [blank_start]our sins have been forgiven[blank_end].

How should we receive the Sacrament of Extreme Unction? [blank_start]We should receive the[blank_end] [blank_start]Sacrament of Extreme Unction[blank_end] [blank_start]in a state of grace and with[blank_end] [blank_start]lively faith and resignation[blank_end] [blank_start]to the will of God[blank_end].
