As comfortable and tempting as it may seem, working in bed, on the sofa or on the floor is bad for your back. Bad postures can damage your back and cause back, head and neck pain if they are maintained for a period of time. Working in bed is a bad habit. You should instead study at a desk or table with a proper, comfortable chair.

Working as a team, making video calls and chatting and sharing your questions is a very healthy habit. It is important that you continue to interact with your coworkers just as you did in the office. Do not isolate yourself!

There are lots of physical exercises that you can do in the space of a room or a living room, or even from your desk chair. Take 20 minute breaks every 2 or 3 hours of work. During these breaks you can do neck, shoulder and leg stretches and take a walk around the house. This will help you release tension, reduce inactivity, avoid bad postures and a sedentary lifestyle. Sitting for more than 6 hours a day or for long periods of time can contribute to developing serious illnesses.

The previous picture represents a bad habit. There are too many distractions on the work area: mobile phones, food, drinks and other people. On the desk there should only be the essential objects to work, anything else you should put away. Keep your work area clean and spacious.

The previous photograph represents a good habit. If you have a balcony or a garden take advantage and work outside for 1 or 2 hours a day. Getting some sun and a change of air is always beneficial.

Getting up early, getting dressed, and eating well are three essential steps to start the workday from home with energy and in a good mood. Spending time doing these three things instead of getting up just in time to start working will make a difference in the energy and attitude with which you start the day.
