These films were chosen for different reasons, which we believe are unique and essential on the list of all lovers of the genre. We will give you a summary of the plot, but don't worry; these summaries are "spoiler-free".

Travelling on the back roads to avoid the police, she stops at the ramshackle Bates Motel for the night. She meets the polite but highly strung proprietor Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), a young man interested in taxidermy, who has a complicated relationship with his mother.
