A true robot is any machine that can [blank_start]move[blank_end] about and do different jobs without human help. The word "robot" was originally used to [blank_start]describe[blank_end] factory workers, and that is just [blank_start]what[blank_end] the majority of actual robots are. However, robots work without [blank_start]having[blank_end] a rest. This makes them good [blank_start]at[blank_end] doing boring or dangerous jobs. [blank_start]Although[blank_end] they have not replaced human workers, robots have made factories [blank_start]much[blank_end] more efficient. Children are often keen on robot toys. One robot called "Aibo" can sleep and play. It first went on sale in 1999 in Japan. Since then it has [blank_start]become[blank_end] cheaper to buy and more reliable. The latest models can do a large [blank_start]number[blank_end] of different things. They can even recognize their owner's face. "Furby" is [blank_start]another[blank_end] robot toy. It has working ears, eyes and mouth and [blank_start]demands[blank_end] attention all day but sleeps at night.
